I have not used Greenshot since I posted this problem "ticket". And today I decided to try it again,,, and it works just like it did before! I have not updated the program what so ever, or it might have done so automatically without letting me know about it. As of today, when it is working just fine I am running "Greenshot 1.1.9 Build 13 (64 bit)".
I guess you can set this to resolved.

1) It started happening before I updated. I actually updated to see if it would fix the problem.
2) Actually I had a support ticket open with Sara and she confirmed about an hour ago:
"We are currently aware of an issue with the Imgur API v2, which has been deprecated. We're working on a fix, but you may want to contact the developer of the extension and encourage them to upgrade to v3. Thanks for letting us know!"
So yes, it is API v2 that has a bug, they're working on a fix, but encourage developers to upgrade to v3.

I found the following:
https://mobile.twitter.com/imgurAPI/tweets
Where it is mentioned they have problem with their API (v2 is what Greenshot 1.x uses) and you can also read about it here: https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/imgur/XVoBbtghGdk
This means I can't do much...
Yes we need to update to V3 some time, maybe they try to force us like this...

The more I read this, the more I think it is a problem with Imgur, you are using 1.1.9 and the problem didn't start after installing 1.1.9 did it? I still didn't get a reply for whitelisting Greenshot due to the 403 error, I will try to open an issue with them directly.

I have the same issue. I noticed on my imgur account that even though I've logged in multiple times to allow it, it's not showing up as an authorized application.
I have a account on imgur, I use that username and password in a popup window as I use greenshot and after I do that this message appear.
-An error occured while uploading to imgur: the remote server returned an error: (401] Unauthorized.
I will give you the .log file as a attachment, as well as give you a link to a pastebin from the log file, of the error itself.

Thx in advance for any help you might give me! Sorry for bad English, I'm sure there are plenty of grammar errors, btw "occured" is copied straight from your error message, yet there is a red line under it so that one is on you haha.
