I don't know that you mean by movable. I do know that if the screen is showing an inverting I-Beam, Snag-It captures it accurately.

Just tried Snag-It, I can't move the mouse.

Besides, just my 2 cents:
Snagit is 32MB (!!) and costs a bit more than Greenshot, also is a lot complexer to handle... took me some time to understand.

Also had problems capturing my Internet Explorer, like the capture with the current Greenshot unstable a lot more.

This doesn't mean we wont have a look at a solution! ;-)

Hello,

are you sure Snag-It has a moveable I-Beam which inverts?

Best wishes,
Robin

Snag-it and Gadwin don't.

What apps show (as opposed to what Greenshot captures) varies between apps.

Hello,

There actually isn't a tracker item for it, the problem is on our todo list... "your" tracker is "THE" tracker item for this problem now. If I solve the problem, I will close this item.

Our problem is a Windows GDI+ bug, something inside Microsoft Windows itself. I already spent hours of trying to make a fix, but so far I haven't found any. There is a possible work-around which I still have to try, but as it's only for one cursor I find the issue not so urgent.

There are other tools which solve the issue, somewhat... the simply make the cursor black. But this won't be acceptable for Greenshot.. We have a movable mouse cursor, the function of the I-Beam should be "inverting" not just have a black color.

Also any shadows are missing, when I have some time I will make another try of improving the "cursor" capture.

For the 0.8.1 release we probably leave it like it is, there are many other improvements which we need to get out to our users.

Best wishes,
Robin
