So, this is a duplicate of BUG-2141, and I will close this.

Please check the Greenshot version attached to that ticket.

The problem is that the Greenshot website couldn't use HTTPS until recently, which is a requirement of Imgur to have their website redirect to ours to pass the Authentication information. This is why we have a workaround, which means we use an embedded browser so we can detect when the authorization is finished as Imgur redirects away from their site. Now we have HTTPS, but the process of making this work without the embedded browser is quite complicated, so it will not be finished for some time.

Only IE can be embedded without a lot of overhead, but we noticed later that depending on some kind of setting that IE behaves on some systems different as other, in fact it somehow goes into IE 10, 9 or 8 modus... which breaks the Imgur site. The later we can fix, but it depends on changes which are not finished.

Still, I am not sure if this IS the case here... we also seen issues where Imgur blocks, as there are to much Greenshot users uploading. Or maybe you are using the wrong password slightly smiling face

For the IE issue, I have a workaround in a very early 1.3 build... need to check where I placed this. Newer builds have so much changes they include other problems.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, and Greenshot 1.2.9 build 129 (64 bits) I had a feeling that window was using Internet Explorer because of the sounds it made, I never updated it either, should I? It's quite odd there isn't an option to use the main browser

Can you please supply the Greenshot and Windows version you are using?

There might be different reasons, one is that you actually miss typed your username / password.
It's possible that your Windows installation somehow is using a very old Internet Explorer "simulation" for the embedded credentials window. This is something that sometimes happens, and we are working on a solution.
