There are many kinds of upload tool to imgur, http://imgur.com/tools/ , you may want to test them to see if they have the same problem uploading to imgur now, so as to know if it is greenshot problem or imgur problem.
ShareX works similar like greenshot.
I only use greenshot to upload to imgur now because it is simple and easy to use than other programs.

It could have been coincidence, the functionality IS completely dependend on Imgur.
But I will check this.

Just tried RC1-1.2.9.97
I exited greenshot and restart greenshot, I use [capture region] then [upload to imgur]. The first upload to imgur shows "communicating with imgur. please wait" message popup for about 30 seconds and disappeared. It is uploaded successfully. Waited 30 seconds for upload to complete.
Only the second, third, fourth.... upload to imgur is normal, only takes about 1 second to upload. "communicating with imgur. please wait" message disappeared in 1 second.
The first upload took too long to upload. It should be uploaded in about 1 second.

Should be solved with 1.2.9 for which I just build our first release candidate.
Please let me know if this download https://github.com/greenshot/greenshot/releases/tag/Greenshot-RC1-1.2.9.97 solves your problem.

Please solve the problem as I use greenshot for screen capture to upload to imgur only.
