I think the confluence plugin is not very well made from a user perspective, unfortunately I haven't been sure on how it should work. Greenshot currently just attaches the screenshot. As the page doesn't reference it, it will only be visible in the attachments form the page (you have the look for it somewhere on the right/top)
I somehow still didn't have time to come up with a good solution, just adding it to the end of the page is probably now what most people want.
Let me know if you found it, and maybe you have a better idea of how it should work...

Robin,
I have discovered my test page in the directory! However, whether I am posting images or text nothing is showing up on the test page.

Hi Kevin,
I'm still confused what the browser has to do with it?
Do you mean that without Greenshot, only using the browser, even than an upload to a page is not possible?
If that is the case, that is really weird... Maybe you don't have the right access rights? (probably a petter error would be presented, but who knows)
If you want to configure Greenshot for your Confluence, you can try to insert this URL in the plugin settings:
https://nonprofitsfirst.atlassian.net/wiki/plugins/servlet/soap-axis1/confluenceservice-v2
Best wishes,
Robin

Robin,
I do not know that the browser (or any of them for that matter) is in anyway responsible but I have tried several and the result is the same. I tried your link and SUCCESS!!!!! However, I can’t seem to select this page to post to:
https://nonprofitsfirst.atlassian.net/wiki/display/NFH/test
Which I have permissions to read and write.
Thank you,

Robin,
I am writing to you because I do a ton of technical procedure documents and we want them in our Confluence so that our new employees can simply login and see how a procedure flows.
This the Confluence URL I have configured:
https://nonprofitsfirst.atlassian.net/wiki/display/NFH/test
but no matter which browser I use I get the same error “ There was a problem during the login: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found”
I followed the instructions for configuring Greenshot and checked the settings in Confluence. Allow API’s is checked and I have permission to post to the page.
Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Thank you,
Kevin Marsh

Re: Get HTTPS error 404 when uploading from Greenshot in to Confluence<https://greenshot.atlassian.net/browse/SUPPORT-114>
Hi,
help us out here, if I understand the information you are giving us: you can't upload to Confluence... but you cannot only not upload with Greenshot but also not via a browser.
I'm not sure why you are reporting this to us...?
The version you are using, is as far as I know the cloud version of Confluence.
I don't know how you are testing in the Browser, or how you configured Greenshot, but the cloud version needs "wiki" in the URL.
For Greenshot, we have Confluence too (but still don't use it), the URL would be: https://greenshot.atlassian.net/wiki/plugins/servlet/soap-axis1/confluenceservice-v2
Mind the "wiki" part... which is usually only needed for Cloud versions.
Now, please let me know what we can do for you?
P.S.
I am working on a new Confluence plugin for Greenshot, as the current SOAP (Web Service) API is obsoleted and will not work much longer.
Best wishes,
Robin
