But it's a matter of priorities, still working on the new Greenshot "infrastructure".
It's not a matter of not wanting to make it, I would love to implement this, but I don't know if people are really waiting for this.
For us it would be another thing to maintain, cost time and not bring revenue...
Maybe we should have crowd funding, so we know what are the most wanted features and people donate money for such things...

We already have most of the basic blocks (e.g. OAuth 2) to make it possible, but I will need to invest some time in the less technical stuff.
Unfortunately we have a lot of problems with Imgur, Greenshot is free for our users, but costs us a lot of time (=money) due to problems with Imgur.
So I will need some time to decide if a sli.mg plug-in is do-able:
Popularity, it doesn't make sense to implement this for one person... (no offence)
Maintainability, it's important to know if the company or persons behind this communicate changes to their API and the current state (up / down etc) of their service otherwise we have Greenshot users creating tickets which we cannot answer.
Restrictions / Price: We don't get anything for making a plugin, so if sli.mg wants money for traffic this is a no go, or they might restrict a client in the amount of uploads, we already have this with Imgur and this is really bad.
Anyway, don't expect anything soon, we are swamped with stuff for 1.2 / 1.3 and 2.x... Maybe I will try to create a prototype which you can test in a few month.

Sli.mg has added an API now. Bumping this now to see if someone would be willing to add it to Greenshot now.

They did a Q&A session on Reddit recently and it looks like an API is on their to-do list. Sorry, I should have checked if they had an API before submitting this. This could probably be closed, then. I'll keep an eye on the site and if they add an API, I will resubmit.

I am trying to reproduce this problem with Imgur redirecting to the image page, but so far I only get the problem under specific circumstances and there doesn't seem to be much info on the change online except for this thread of people complaining about it on mobile. The situation where I get it is where an Imgur direct link is posted in a cbox.ws web chatroom. I click the link, which is clearly a link that should be a direct link, and it redirects to the Imgur page of that image instead. Clicking the link a second time, and opening a new page, will link directly to the image. So it might be something to do with the referral url and caching. Not certain. But it's extremely annoying. I friggin stopped using Photobucket because they redirect to their image pages, now Imgur is doing the same. :/

Imgur has started to redirect direct links to image urls. For example, anything that ends in .jpg or .gif redirects to the image page rather than just directly linking the image itself. It's rather annoying since it used to be the best place to upload random screenshots. I found a nice alternative, though and was wondering if it would be difficult to make a plugin to upload images to it instead. The new site is Sli.mg.
