Within the documentation that I contribute to, we have automatically generated callout "counter" labels that display as black squares: http://i.imgur.com/uMWSTvl.png

Ideally I would like to be able to change the shape of the counters from circles to squares in order to match these. A border option would also be appreciated for matching, but it is not as important.
