Just out of curiosity, did you place a request to support also .tiff as an extension with the other software too? What software are we talking about?
Having .tiff as an extension is officially documented, having the user to decide between .tif and .tiff which are both the same format is a bit weird. I would have to extend the list of “supported” formats with tif besides tiff, one could also discuss if we need to support .jpg and .jpeg?
Accepting both is usually much easier, especially from a user interface perspective. I’m hesitant to change this, as it will just make different lists bigger and confuse more people as there is no different, just the extension used.
Can you add the save as .tif instead of .tiff, some software only recognizes the .tif extension. Thank you
