Missing saved drawing objects for .greenshot files saved with stable 1.2.10.6, when being opened with unstable 1.3.235

Description

I used the stable version 1.2.10.6 to take some screenshots, added objects (circle, rectangle, textbox, etc.) with its Image Editor, and saved. (See the attached sample .greenshot file “2022-02-03 22_29_48-NVIDIA 控制面板.greenshot“. Also, I attach another image which can be displayed in browser to explain how it looks like in 1.2.10.6: “Dot_greenshot_file_saved_with_stable_1.2.10.6_opened_with_stable_1.2.10.6.png“)

Bug:

After that, I installed the unstable version 1.3.235, and use it to open the same .greenshot file, and it couldn’t display any objects (circle, rectangle, textbox, etc.). This is the bug I am reporting here. This attached image shows what’s happening: “Dot_greenshot_file_saved_with_stable_1.2.10.6_opened_with_unstable_1.3.235.png“

A side note, .greenshot files saved with 1.3.235 don’t have this problem. If I use 1.3.235 to edit my screenshot and add objects to it, then when I open them again later 1.3.235, the objects can be displayed. But still, the problem described in previous paragraph still needs to be fixed.

Possible solutions:

  1. The ideal solution is to make 1.3.235 able to load objects saved with 1.2.10.6

  2. If not, then please at least give a proper error message.

Environment

Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit, Update 21H2

@Lakritzator

I am experiencing a similar issue when accessing files with .greenshot extension with v1.3.277. Some files do not open, and others are fine BUT they ALL open perfectly when reverted to v1.3.274. I have tried multiple clean installation but did not help.

Another thing to note here is that there are always certain files with this behaviour. Let's say I have the following files

e.g.
A.greenshot
B.greenshot
C.greenshot

Only A.greenshot shows the error and B and C are always fine.

Tested platform:
Edition Windows 11 Enterprise
Version 22H2
OS build 22624.1680
System type 64-bit operating system,
