The program (during installation) should detect the DPI and automatically set up an appropriate default size of the icons. It takes a moderately skilled user to be able to find out how to resize the icons (especially since that's a rare feature in other software and so people won't even think to look for it - they will just mark Greenshot down as being buggy/shoddy software).
So the resolution is true - there is the option to resize - but it would make Greenshot look an AWFUL lot better if it took care of this (or at least took aim at being better) rather than depending on users to configure an unusable screen.

Thanks for your feedback. There is an option to change the icon size in the general settings tab.
Unfortunately, the icons look a bit fuzzy when scaled. We'll be working on a more elegant solution for some future version.
