I've tried installing an updated version of Greenshot remotely (with 'silent' switches) on Several PCs, many of which have since had issues, including:
pop-up notice that a new version of Greenshot is available
error "Can't find file log4net.xml"
error "Greenshot has stopped working"
error "An instance of Greenshot is already running"
shows that actually two instances are running
It seems to me that the main issue is the installer does not fully remove the old version, causing two instances to try starting at login.
Unfortunately the software can't be cleanly uninstalled once this botched install occurs..
