Storage location reset to default if not available during start

Description

Greenshot changes the storage location to Desktop (probably a default location if the target drive is not yet available) after each restart. I use a Veractypt Container as a storage drive for my screenshots and there was no problem in a previous version. So I need to setup a destination every time manually.

Environment

WIN_8.1_x64, Storage located on Veracrypt Container

Thank you for looking into my issue, but I've decided to stick with version 1.2.8. Works great for my needs! ))))

As we want to bring out the huge list of Greenshot bugfixes as soon as possible, in this case tomorrow, I am closing this and assume it has been fixed.

I still would like you to look at it, or maybe monday in the release, so we can fix any left bugs in the next bugfix release.

Yet another things I have found.

Not sure if it is an issue, but GS checks whether the storage location is empty or not and if it is empty than the Tray Icon forwards to the Desktop, although it was not the last storage location anyways and the storage location exists. Check out the video:

Thanks!

Hi,

thank you for testing, and going into the discussion. For us it's important to know how people use our product.

I actually don't know which behavior should be the correct one, from the point of view: "Open recent capture" one might argue that the next location is not what I want to open... but rather the last location where something was stored.

Although I understand your point of view, I rather not change the old behavior.

Best wishes,
Robin
