I want to uninstall Greenshot but I cannot. Please help

But yes, we will need to do something to introduce the basics of the program to first time users.

Oh and Mike, if the information above doesn't help I need a bit more information from you. Like:

• what have you done so far? (What version did you install, and how are you trying to remove this)

• where did you download Greenshot from?

• what windows version are you using, Windows 7?

Hi Mike,

While installing Greenshot the installer, unless you deselect the checkbox, makes Greenshot run when you boot Windows. It will also start Greenshot when it finishes installing.

It looks like you are starting Greenshot manually, while it is already running already (after installing or booting) and starting it a second time doesn't make sense. Greenshot runs in the background, so it is always there when you need it and waits for you to press "PrintScreen" or other hotkeys.

You should just be able to exit Greenshot via it's context menu, which you can open by right clicking the "G" icon in your system tray (the icons on the bottom right). Greenshot is currently not visible, so you will first have to click on the arrow up next to the funny little man (Sherlock?) to make the G icon visible.

You can also stop Greenshot via the process manager...
