A feature (or hotkey) to copy the current image to the clipboard and close the program after editing a screenshot with arrows and things. Or an aditional function to close the program after copying the file to the clipboard.
I too would love to have this feature, as I use Greenshot as part of a quick workflow to capture screens, make small edits (crop / draw box highlighting issue) and not persisting the screenshot locally. As such I don't want to be prompted to save it, and ideally I don't want to have to close the application.
Supporting this type of workflow could be supported by two different options:
New Setting: Edit > Preferences > General > "Prompt to Save on Close?"
This would allow the user to simply CTRL-SHIFT-C, ALT-F4
New Keyboard Shortcut: "Copy to Clipboard and Close" CTRL-SHIFT-X
This would allow the user to simply CTRL-SHIFT-X
I'd really likt to have this issue, too. Using Greenshot as an effective "quick marking" tool.
Almost everything is there....
Press "Print" and select the area (OK)
Area is automatically copied to clipboard and the editor opens (OK - i can select two targets as default)
I just press the "ESC" key - and 1) the modified picture is copied to the clipboard 2) the editor closes
This would be a great help to make commented screenshots on the fly!
I've just created an account just to up-vote this feature. Would be great if editor could close automatically after "Copy image to Clipboard" has been selected
Would be very helpful for day-by-day usage...
Autocopy after editing: very good idea (other programs do it).
