Check mark and cross symbol

Description

In the section of pre-defined shapes, please add a check mark and cross symbol. That would be very helpful. I’m sorry if this is a duplicate request.

An even easier way (Windows) is to open the Windows emoji library and just fetch the check-mark, cross or any other symbol from there. Open the emoji library by pressing WINDOWS key + . (dot). if the symbol you need isn’t available there, the unicode library may offer options.

This is somewhat embarrassing.. For some reason I never ventured outside the Character map limit to the Dingbats section of Unicode (or investigated Wingdings). Thanks for pointing this, really easy solution, out to me. If anyone else finds this post, some useful decimal codes for check-mark and cross symbol. Unfortunately Greenshot doesn’t accept such high code input from the keyboard, so you will need to type into a text editor /e.g. Word) and then copy/paste into Greenshot to get it working. The appearance may change depending on your selected font in Greenshot.

Hey Mårten, I find it ok to use unicode characters - here are some I use, and on Windows I use AutoHotkey to make it easier to type them. ✓ ✗ ☐ ☒ ☑, even some more fun ones like ☢. As for the shortcuts, I use \/\ = ✓, \x\ = ✗, |_| = ☐, |x| = ☒, |/| = ☑, radi = ☢, bioh = ☣, etc. Combined with a line thickness of 0, you can have them at e.g. 96pt font and easily visible.
