I understand and I appreciate it. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed so I don't have to go looking for another app. I need it at work, and use it constantly, so I'll be very sorry if I have to give it up.

Sorry, but maintaining a free and open source product, which is used by someone at work, where their company most likely doesn’t spent a single dime on supporting free and open source software projects always gets on my nerves. Especially when I have to deal with impatient people.

I do this in my spare time and we get most donations from people who use it personally, actually crazy when you think about it. And with all the companies using ad-blockers there is even less money to free up my time. Anyway, enough said, don’t want to let all my frustrations out.

The problem is most likely on your side, in the logs I can only see that it’s PROBABLY something with office.

With the normal log level I cannot see more details, there is still a chance I will get more details when you change the log level to debug:

I don’t want to get your hopes up, but an SEHException is usually an issue with software on your PC, not something in Greenshot. And with having millions of Greenshot instances running in the world which don’t have this issue shows that it’s an unusual thing. Usually this kind of error is something which also shows when you start the application causing the issue manually, maybe you can try all your office programs and see if they start?

Another thing you can do, is disable some plugins to see if this helps the startup:

I would start with the office plugin.

I had a similar error once where this was a registry corruption, just to make clear how little I can do about it.

Understood. I'll look for an alternative.

You don’t need an alternative, but I would advice to have someone checkup your PC. Maybe do a registry check! Have them look at the event viewer, if there is anything in there.
