As we Usually build for "production" the debug symbols (line numbers etc) aren't in the code, therefore I needed to change the build so I can at least make the symbols available. I didn't supply them in the code itself, this is the reason for the download. And this doesn't modify the code itself, yes I know of cases where enabling debugging changes the code but in this case the code is the same.

As I changed a few small things since, this might have influenced the code a bit. But I have difficulties believing that it was just that. I wouldn't be surprised if previous versions now also work...?

You can at least remove the .pdb files, they are version specific and useless/confusing for other versions.

Oh, I also added timeouts, which might influence the outcome a bit
But if it was a timeout issue, I would have expected other exceptions before.

Uninstalled Greenshot, removed its folder (the folder was empty though)
Installed Greenshot-, result: it gave the same error
Uninstalled Greenshot.
Installed Greenshot-, result: No error, worked fine

(Test was done without copying the .pdb files)

If you didn't change the code beside the debug symbols, are you using the same compiler which you compiled with?

We build with help of a build server, this makes sure it is always the same build (and virus free).

No, it must be my code changes.
Maybe the timeout, honestly as I will completely rewrite all plugins for 2.x I am just glad it works.

Let's close this ticket, and consider it solved.
I but it would be nice if you will try the RC3 as soon as we release it to make sure it STILL works

Thanks for your assistance!
