I recently upgraded to version 1.1.5 Build 2643 (64-Bit) version of GreenShot. I can no longer get the print screen (or f11) to work. I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 Professional. I can get the capture to work if I use the capture Region option from the pop-up menu.
I have a secondary machine with the same OS, but using version 0.8.0 Build 0627 that works just fine.
Any ideas?
By the way (just for the sake of completeness): there is an [FAQ entry related to privileges](http://getgreenshot.org/faq/why-does-the-print-key-not-work-in-some-windows/) on our website.
Please let us know whether that helped. Thanks

Hello,
I was able to reconfigure to use alt-ctl-P, where nothing else seemed to work.
Thanks.

Hello all,
changing the Capture Region shortkey to CTRL+P also solved this problem on my machine (Windows 7 + Greenshot 1.1.8 build 35).
Thank you !
Kind regards,
Helene Callerisa
For me this sounds like another program also listens to the same hotkey, maybe using a different technology to catch the keyboard.
Since changing the key, does anything happen when you press PrintScreen?
I've been using Greenshot for a year or so and I've had this problem on and off on 4 separate Windows 7 Profession 64bit installs on 3 separate computers (the computer I'm on now was recently re-imaged).
In the past I have often experienced the delays after hitting "Print Screen" as described in BUG-1829. PrintScreen worked correctly on this machine after it was re-imaged until today; now it doesn't work at all. CTRL-PrintScreen and ALT-PrintScreen work as they should (I have default settings so these are "capture full screen" and "capture window"). Remapping the hotkey has generally worked in the past; it's always been the "PrintScreen" hotkey alone that's problematic.
The PrintScreen key is dumping the full display to clipboard – the standard Windows behavior for that key. If I copy a snippet of text to clipboard, paste it to confirm it's clipboarded, then hit printscreen, the text is no longer in my clipboard and pasting into an image editor shows what was on screen at that time.
I don't think it's a UAC issue because I've both tried the hotkey with numerous different things focused (e.g. taskbar), and I've quit Greenshot and restarted it as administrator (find .exe, right-click->Run as Administrator) with no change to the behavior.
Lastly, in "Windows Hotkey Explorer" (as suggested by this thread) it doesn't show anything registering the shortcuts, even though the Ctrl-PrintScreen and Alt-PrintScreen shortcuts work!
I can continue re-binding.. using the context menu isn't a good option for me because I'm often trying to screenshot hover states and context menus.
